The new Paradise Honey commercial hive bottom has been designed for commercial beekeeping operations. The new model has been streamlined to fit neatly onto beehive pallets with a much lower profile and is stackable by design.
It has no feet which means it is not designed to be placed directly onto the ground. It should always be placed on a hive pallet or a hive stand which also provides ample ventilation through the open mesh floor.
It is a low 41-mm high making it less than half the height of the original hive bottom. This is important for commercial beekeeping operations aiming to maximise the number of hives they can transport on their trucks.
As shown in the pictures above, it is designed to be stackable. This opens up numerous opportunities for multi-use of the new hive bottom. For example, you could use them as division boards or separate multiple brood-boxes enabling multi-queen hives.
